One day in 2007, during my quiet time with the Lord, I heard a still voice say: ” Play basketball with your son .” This was after I went through a painful divorce and then losing my personal home and investments in the recession. To make matters worse, the relationship with my teenage son was in total disarray. From 2005 to 2010, it felt like going through a rigorous boot camp with my son, Jay. There was no communication, outburst of anger, and periodic withdrawals. In that period of time, I was desperately crying out to the Lord to find a way to emotionally connect with Jay.
